WHAT IS PSEUDOTUMOR CEREBRI?

Pseudotumor cerebri is a neurological condition that takes place when buildup or poor absorption of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) occurs within the skull. Symptoms of the disease tend to mimic that of a brain tumor and include headache, nausea, dizziness and blurred vision. In 1995, researchers from the New England Journal of Medicine found a correlation between the use of birth control IUDs that release the hormone levonorgestrel and the development of pseudotumor cerebri.

PSEUDOTUMOR CEREBRI LAWSUIT INFORMATION

In early 2014, nine Mirena lawsuits were filed against the manufacturer Bayer after plaintiffs developed pseudotumor cerebri. All nine cases claim that Bayer knew pseudotumor cerebri was a potential side effect, yet failed to properly warn patients.

Our network of attorneys are currently seeking pseudotumor cerebri lawsuits that may be linked to birth controls such as: Mirena, Yaz, Yasmine, Beyaz, Ocella, Depo-Provera, Safyral, Gianui, Implanon, Nexplanon, NuveRing and Ortho Evra. If you have suffered from pseudotumor cerebri after being prescribed one of these medications, you may be entitled to financial compensation.
